SLIPKID'S Concert Photo Archives - Thin Lizzy

Of course, there is no Thin Lizzy without Phil Lynott. Phil was the singer, songwriter, bass player, leader, and heart and soul of the band. But the spirit of Lizzy lives on in tribute mode with a new lineup put together by former guitar player John Sykes, who was one-half of the guitar playing duo of the band during the 1980s, joining after the departure of Snowy White. With him on guitar for the show below is the longest axe slinger to have served with the band, Scott Gorham. Add the excellent bass playing of Marco Mendoza and the virtuoso tub pounding drumming of Tommy Aldridge and you have one hot band no matter who's music they're playing. I'm just glad they're playing some of the best songs ever written - ie: THIN LIZZY!

These photos courtesy Fred Gellar, the metal god voice of Schwenksville! Unfortunately these shots were inadvertantly taken in "panorama" mode, but that gives them an interesting perspective.

Drum solo time. Fred with Scott Gorham. Scott and Dani, the tour manager. Fred with John Sykes. A bad hair day was had by all in the cold, wind, and rain after the gig.
